Welcome

Jill’s approach is always gentle and with caution. Horses are sensitive and intuitive creatures, but also can be very unpredictable and sometimes dangerous.

The first step is a brief telephone consultation to discuss the issue/problem at hand. It is a fantastic and thorough way to start the process. In this consultation, Jill will ask numerous questions to assess whether or not she can help with the situation. Her number one priority is to be honest in all cases. She will never overstate what she can do, and will surrender if she feels she cannot be of help.

After the first consultation, Jill will come to visit the horse (and rider, if appropriate). She will spend approximately one hour with you and your horse. She will meet with horse and rider, watch the rider handle the horse, view the rider riding the horse and then Jill will ride the horse, herself, if appropriate.

In one hour, Jill will be able to assess what the problems are, whether she can help, whether the problems or difficulties are that of the horse and/or rider, what the course of action could be for the greatest success, and put in place a plan that is suitable for the owner/rider.

Jill will help the rider to learn to be better connected with the horse, and to "be in the moment" in order to get best results.  This involves being more "in tune" with the horse and using what some call "riders intuition".

Jill can spend as little as one hour with you or help create a training or teaching schedule that suits both parties.
